Recent Ventures

My resume is the best source for a complete and concise list of my experiences and accomplishments. This list serves as a more personal look into some of my recent projects.

• Research in Reinforcement Learning

  I am part of Dr. Alexander Ihler's Statistical Learning and Inference Lab at UC Irvine. Stemming from an interest in graphical models, this has let me explore the realms of reinforcement and statistical learning. Currently, I am working on ways to apply statistical learning to policy optimization in influence diagrams. I aim to complete my senior thesis on this investigation in the next few months.

• Android Kernel Recording/Replaying

  My primary project at Google was implementing recording and replaying functionality for IPC transactions in the Android Kernel. With Android being open-source, you can actually see all of my code changes publicly!
  Here are the most substantial ones:

  • Generating Kernel Interface Specific Binaries
  • Introduced Recording Infrastructure to the IPC Protocol
  • Adding Recording/Replaying/Inspecting Functionality to the Generated Binaries
  • Adding Live Listening Functionality

Fun Things

• I am an avid espresso fan, most especially when in a cappuccino. I enjoy trying new coffee shops, so let me know if there's any good ones I should check out!
